To replace fossil fuels with renewable energy is a huge and expensive undertaking, as much as £25 TRILLION over the next 30 years
Energy has always been a business, and to suddenly leave a switch from fossil fuels to green, clean energy to the charity sector would be damaging to the good work that the NGO’s do, diversionary, and may take funds away from needy causes. This is why the United Nations decided on a market led approach.
NGO’s are doing some great work. Carbon Impacts is working, for free, with the Fleet Forum to reduce carbon emissions from 80,000 aid agency vehicles operating in Africa. We are also helping www.advanceaid.org.
Carbon Impacts, as an ethical business, is delighted to be partnering with the NGO sector on projects such as this.
