In the first instance, it really is quite simple. Turn everything off when you are not in, or not there. This includes your computer and the lights at night.

But, in more detail, to reduce carbon emissions by one tonne you could...

1. Replace 15 lights with energy efficient ones for a year.
2. Reduce temperature: by 1 degree for 1 year (2000m2 office).
3. Turn off 10 computers over night for 1 year.
4. Re-cycle 333 full 40kg bin liners.
5. Don't use 1/4 of a tonne of paper.
6. Print 2 million A4 sheets double sided instead of single.
7. Replace 20 standard monitors with LCD ones for a year.
